Why plants repair instead of replace
- The replacement often doesn't exist. PanelView Plus 6 was discontinued in 2021 with no direct successor. PLC-5 ended in 2017. Siemens S7-300 hit type-discontinuation in October 2025. Repair is the only like-for-like path for a growing share of installed hardware.
- Lead times are brutal; repair is days. New drives and HMIs routinely quote multi-week lead times. Our standard bench time is 3–5 business days after arrival — rush cuts it to 1–2.
- Your program stays put. A replacement means re-loading, re-configuring, and re-proving the application. A repaired unit drops back in exactly as it left.
- The math favors repair. Industrial repairs typically run 15–50% of replacement cost — and unplanned downtime averages ~$103,000/hour in US plants (ABB, 2023). Every day saved matters more than the invoice.

Frequently asked questions
How does mail-in industrial repair work?
Start a repair online (flat-price checkout or free-evaluation request), get an RMA number instantly, and ship the unit to our Dallas–Fort Worth lab with any carrier. We diagnose and repair at board level, test, and return it with the return speed you chose — under a 24-month warranty.
Do you publish real prices?
Yes — that is the point of this company. Flat-price repairs (most HMIs and PLC power supplies) are purchasable online at the listed price. Drives and boards start with a free evaluation and a firm quote you approve before any work; the typical ranges published on those pages come from real market data, not guesswork.
Will my machine program survive the repair?
Yes. HMI applications live in the terminal's flash memory, drive parameters live in the CNC or the drive's protected storage, and our physical repairs don't touch them. Preserving the configured unit is exactly why plants repair instead of replace.
What if my unit can't be repaired?
Flat-price repairs: full refund minus return shipping. Free-evaluation units: you pay nothing at all. We'd rather tell you the truth than sell a repair that shouldn't happen.
What does downtime actually cost me while I wait for a replacement?
ABB's 2023 survey put average US unplanned-downtime cost at ~$103,000 per hour, and new HMIs/drives frequently quote multi-week lead times. Repair turns that around in days — which is why rush and emergency bench service exist.
